Bloody Scotland, here I come!
Weeks ago, and I mean so many weeks ago that I completely forgot, but I applied online for a slot at Bloody Scotland. I had debated whether or not to go as, as you know, I’ve already been to a few events this year but Bloody Scotland gave an option of a ‘virtual’ appearance so I thought, why not?
Anyway, imagine my delight when I received an email last week telling me I’d been selected as one of the 22 to share a spotlight on stage ahead of other author panels. So, of course, I’m going!
My slot is on Saturday 17th September at 12pm. The brief is to introduce yourself and read an extract from a new or existing book – all in the space of 3 minutes! *Gulp*
In case you’re not aware of the spotlight slot, here’s what Bloody Scotland have to say about it;
Inspired by the concept of support acts at music festivals, Crime in the Spotlight pairs the rising stars of the crime fiction scene with established crime writers and to date over 100 authors have taken to the spotlight stage.
I love that concept!
My hotel is booked, the days are blocked out of my diary and I’ve highlighted all the authors I want to see – excited much??!!
Don’t worry, I’ll be tweeting and taking pics so if you can’t make it, you can attend vicariously.
Now the most important question: which book should I read from, and what extract should I read????
